Our trip

This is collage 1 from our trip to Mississippi, Baton Rouge, and Cheneyville Louisiana. The kids had a great time, we started our trip out at 5am last Wednesday morning, and arrived in Waynesboro, MS at 230! The kids were great! Granted they only slept exactly 1 hour a piece during the whole 9 1/2 hours, but they were great. This collage shows our trip there, stopping at rest stops, Mason and Mattie enjoying ice cream in one picture, and tomatoes in another.

Mason and Mattie also with the instruction of Uncle Robin, learned how they used to grind corn in the old days! It was so cute to watch them do it. I even have little clips of video of it. Too cute!!

When we left Denham Springs, we went to Cheneyville, LA to Maw maw's. They had again a great time except for the mosquitos (and I forgot to mention the ants in Mississippi). The kids are completely eaten up with ant and mosquito bites. But now that we're back home, they are getting better. Mason got to see the big machines harvest corn out of maw maw's field, and he loved it. It was loud, and threw dust and corn cobs everywhere, but it was so exciting to him. He kept telling us when it was getting closer.

Mason was very sad to leave Maw maw's. He cried. He knew that when we left, she would be all alone, and it broke his heart. They played outside probably 80% of the time on our whole 8 day trip, and it was great!!
